Feb 2009 issue of QST has this article called “Keeping Current with Antenna Performance” by Eric P. Nichols, KL7A. The article discusses he importance of measuring the RF current at the feedpoint and why SWR measurement is misleading sometimes. This is a great article. A related article on the web is also quite good. QST should publish more of these eye-opener articles rather than publish “build yourself a pvc mic holder” types.
